The purpose of the event is to foster community and youth mattering* by encouraging connection, highlighting youth accomplishments, and supporting overall well-being.

Community Mattering Storywalk Competition

This competition aims to highlight the importance of mattering* among youth and the community.

We invite students in 6th-12th grade to participate by crafting compelling stories that explore the significance of mattering in today’s world. The winning story will be printed onto storyboards and featured in the You Matter to ME event in Augusta!

Submissions are due April 15, 2026

Winner will be announced April 24, 2026
